MIS Officer

Data / MIS Officer (Education)

Location: Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Salary: £35k - £40k + Excellent Benefits

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Role:

As a Data / MIS Officer, reporting to the Office Manager, you will provide technical support for the school's management information system, iSAMS, as well as other systems and platforms used by staff, pupils, and parents.

Responsibilities:

? Oversee daily administration, configuration, and development of school systems (e.g., iSAMS, EVERY, SOCS).
? Ensure all pupil and parent data is accurate and up to date.
? Lead annual data operations, such as rollovers.
? Edit, match, and upload pupil and staff photos.
? Set up and manage iSAMS reporting and assessment cycles.
? Provide training for new and existing staff on iSAMS.
? Conduct annual statistical returns and other required reports.
? Produce analytical reports on student attainment and progress.
? Liaise with staff to enhance procedural efficiency using electronic solutions.
? Diagnose data system performance issues with IT support.
? Assign pupils to appropriate forms, tutors, and houses.
? Respond to subject access requests and data processing inquiries.
? Manage secure data destruction processes.


Requirements:

Essential:

? Previously worked in a similar role.
? Experience in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Project Management.
? Background in a customer-facing support role.
? Skilled in data cleansing and timetabling.
? Understanding of the school environment and existing MIS issues.
? Familiarity with cloud-based MIS systems, especially iSAMS.
? Experience with iSAMS and PowerBI.would be beneficial.
? Ability to create documentation for diverse audiences would be preferred.
