A great position has opened for a Day Care Sister Nurse to join a modernized Hospital based in Southampton.

The Hospital offers treatment to patients for complex procedures within their intensive care and high dependency units.

They specialise in orthopaedic, spinal and cardiac surgery, cardiology, neurosurgery, dermatology, ophthalmology plus many other sectors.

As a Day Care Sister your role will be to assist in running the Day Care department.

You will be the Manager on duty as well as nursing in the department, and be expected to run the department to the high quality level that the Hospital aims for.

You will ensure compliance to the policies and offer a faultless service to all patients and relatives, as well as manage any consultant or patient issues that they might have.

You should have the following skills and experience:

·         Qualified Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin number

·         2 year’s experience within a surgical day care environment

·         Have previous experience in leading a team

·         Management qualification or teaching/assessing experience will be advantageous

·         Be able to work calmly under pressure

·         Able to use your own initiative and make sensible decisions when necessary

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with at least 2 year’s experience within a surgical day care setting.
