Horticulture Engagement Coordinator

Horticultural Engagement Coordinator - Beverley Based

Salary: from £23K - £24K part time 22.5 hours over 3 days

They are now looking for a Horticultural Engagement Coordinator to join the team.



The Role:

The role will be to build an engagement project that will encourage young people to think about a career path in horticulture.

Establishing a partnership with schools, colleges and community groups and being able to highlight the different styles and methods that are involved in horticulture today and the career paths that are available.

Role Responsibilities:

? Work closely with education providers in the Beverley area.
? Create an engagement plan along with sessions that will promote horticulture as a career path, this will include field growing, new scientific approaches and environmental responsibilities.
? Supervising those engaging with the program.
? Working with the Operations Support Manager to develop the project
? Ensuring healthy and safe operations.
? Creating, developing, and maintaining sound relationships with partner community organisations.
? Representing their with key partners.
? Providing monitoring information.
? Any other duties relevant to the level of this post as reasonably requested


Essential Skills & Requirements:

? Skilled horticulturist
? Skilled in presenting and encouraging discussion.

? Good knowledge and understanding of the science of horticulture, hydroponics and aeroponics.
? Good understanding of the environment and how this will play a part in horticulture
