My client, an award-winning Media House is looking for a Technical Lead / Head of SEO to lead a distributed team of SEO analysts and work on SEO projects across the group.

This role is key to continuing the growth in natural search traffic for their national and regional news titles.

The SEO Manager will have experience leading teams with both direct and dotted-line reporting.

They will work with editorial, commercial and technical leadership to ensure business-wide understanding of the importance of SEO and champion best practice.

They will support and mentor the SEO analysts to facilitate their personal development.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO, in-depth knowledge of SEO tools, experience auditing enterprise websites with millions of pages and established relationships with key players.

An interest in news and experience in media/publishing would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

? Develop and own the overall SEO strategy, goals and objectives across the business
? Be the SEO champion across the business
? Evangelise the company and teams on the importance of SEO and best practices
? Work with stakeholders and set expectations around what can be achieved with SEO
? Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities across the team
? Direct line management of 2 senior technical SEO analysts, sitting within the Product & Engineering function.
? Perform detailed SEO site audits across their portfolio of editorial sites and any new ventures
? Research, define, prioritise and oversee technical SEO developments in liaison with the Head of Pro
