Senior Design Manager

Location: East London

Salary: £50-£65k

My client is looking to hire a talented Senior Design Manager to help motivate, guide and nurture their designers to deliver the world class creative projects.

They work with brands to create extraordinary, inspiring and exciting pop ups, window displays and immersive experiences.

From initial concepts, to finishing touches of an install, they ensure to make every detail count.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Design you will head up your own full time mini team of designers and/or creatives to deliver a broad range of exciting design projects for the business.

You will be responsible for:

? Creative/Design Direction
? Defining the creative strategy on your projects and accounts
? Crafting inspiring concepts that respond to a clients brief with a WOW
? Working closely alongside designers to guide them to create show stopping work
? Creating and delivering storytelling presentations and pitches
? Ensuring clarity of concept as designs develop and evolve with client feedback


Project + Account Leadership:

? Dissecting briefs and diagnosing client needs
? Project scoping and planning and resourcing on your projects whether from within your team or not
? Accurately estimating resources required to deliver them and costing against them
? Creating quotations on Synergist, signing off with HOD + MD before sharing with client
? Strategising project delivery
? Account management of your own design accounts
? Client communications, expectation management and feedback
? Organising and accounting for appropriate communication between departments where relevant
? Being accountable for comprehensive and complete handovers of your projects through to or
? external production (when required)


Team Leadership:

? Nurturing and personal development of your team of up to 5 direct reports (PDPs, PP, training budgets etc)
