Health & Safety Manager - Workington, Cumbria

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum dependant on qualifications and experience

An exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join an outstanding training organisation in Workington to ensure the company is compliant with all the relevant health and safety legislation.

Offering a salary of up to £42,000, plus great benefits, this is a great opportunity for someone with a NEBOSH Diploma who is also a member of IOSH.



The Company:

Our client is an Ofsted 'outstanding' training organisation, based in the North West of England providing a wide range of high quality further education, specialising in engineering and technology.



Role Responsibilities:

? Advise on planning, implementing and maintaining an accredited Integrated Management System (IMS).
? Carrying out independent, monthly IMS Monitoring Audits and reporting performance to the Head of Quality & Compliance.
? Ensuring that the Company is aware of all new developments in Health & Safety legislation.
? Providing information and advice on Health & Safety issues and acting as the 'competent' person in liaison with external bodies.
? Organisation of, and attending, any Health, Safety and Environmental Meetings.
? Reviewing and maintaining the Company's Health & Safety policies.


Essential Skills & Requirements:

? Member of IOSH or similar professional body.
? Holds a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
? IOSH Chartered status (or GRAD working towards CMIOSH).
? A minimum of five years' experience as a Health & Safety Practitioner.
? Familiarity with the requirements of ISO Standards and Management Systems.
? Hold a full UK driving licence.
