A great opportunity for an experienced Dispensing Optician to join an established Optometrist business, that was founded in 1926, and whose reputation has been built on high levels of customer service.

The position is to cover 9/12 months maternity leave.

The position is also open to all levels of experience from trainee Dispensing Opticians and Optical Assistants to fully Qualified Dispensing Opticians.



The Job Role

Your main responsibilities will be to work as part of a successful team, liaising with the Optometrists to ensure each customer that you dispense to receives a consistent quality handover.

As part of the role, you will be advising customers on the most appropriate glasses, taking into account each customer's visual and lifestyle requirement, including advising on night driving, UV protection and prescription sunglasses.

You must be able to dispense to a good standard, offering advice on frames and lenses to partially sighted customers and children.

It is important you have excellent communication skills and are able to build a good rapport with customers over the phone and face to face.

You will be expected to offer an excellent after sales service, with a "Can Do" manner.

You will contribute to the achievement of individual and team sales targets by demonstrating effective professional sales techniques.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

For the Dispensing Optician Role, you must be a qualified GOC registered Dispensing Optician.

Have ABDO level 6 FBDO qualification

Have the right to work in the Uk.

Preferably 1 years' experience working in Optics
