Our client is a USA based video game development company are looking for a Senior AI Programmer to join their expanding team.

They are looking for someone who is a fan of FPS, with an emphasis on "inspired by realism" and tactical play vs.

arcade control.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for cooperative compound interactions between networks of AI characters and an interest in developing AI for a live-service title & Unreal Engine.

This will be a great opportunity to work for a company with a numbers of well known FPS games and be part of their growing team and work on exciting new projects.

AS a Senior AI Programmer you will:

? Write high-quality C++ code with an understanding of gameplay and AI systems
? Participate in the design and implementation of AI code in accordance with design intentions
? Work collaboratively with design on prototyping new AI concepts as well as iterating on, and improving existing systems
? Work with QA to fix tricky and obscure bugs relating to AI systems


Skills, experience, and Qualifications:

? 3+ years of experience in game development
? Experience with AI systems and game principles, as they relate to the FPS genre
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? High attention to detail
? Passion for making games
? Passionate about writing clean, flexible code
? Shipped at least one AA or AAA FPS title
? Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience
? A good understanding of Unreal Engine 4 including:
? Programming in C++ using the in-engine gameplay framework
? Using built-in AI tools such as EQS and Behaviour Trees
? Experience writing tools and pipelines required
