Pharmacist Lead

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Pharmacist Lead to develop an in-house Pharmacy Service at 2 private hospitals in North Yorkshire and North Tyneside.

You will be working for one of UKs’ leading health care providers

Both of the hospitals delivers a range of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, plastic surgery, urology, gynaecology, dermatology, oral, ENT, endoscopy, to both private and NHS patient

*To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Pharmacist registered with the GPC

As the Pharmacist Lead your key responsibilities include:

·         Clinical screening and services to clinical departments

·         Procurement, audit, patient counselling and other associated pharmaceutical duties

·         Attendance at relevant clinical governance meetings

·         Providing advice to patients/carers and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products as required

·         Adhering to GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance

·         Supporting clinical managers in providing effective training and competency review of registered staff

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·         Sound written and verbal communication skills

·         Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

·         Flexibility to work across the two sites

·         Demonstrated Customer Service skills

·         Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be patient focused

The successful Pharmacist Lead will receive an excellent salary of £43,000 pro rata as it is in line with the hours of work.

This exciting position is a permanent part time role working 30 hours a week.
