SEN Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in a school or similar educational setting to join a well-established special school supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

This full-time role offers excellent benefits and a salary of £19,500for 38 hours work week.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to pupils, enabling them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

They are looking for 2 Teaching Assistants.

You will be responsible for:

? Supporting teachers and SENCo to enhance pupil learning and achievement.
? Encouraging pupil participation in lessons and extracurricular activities.
? Implementing effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policy.
? Organising and maintaining a safe, stimulating learning environment.
? Observing and reporting on pupil progress to relevant staff.
? Using ICT to support and advance pupil learning.


What we are looking for:

? Previously worked as a SEN Teaching Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
? Experience in a school or similar educational setting.
? Background working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs (SEND, behavioural, or mental health).
? Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the SEND Code of Practice.
? GCSE or equivalent qualifications, with at least a Grade C in English and Maths.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills.
