Residential Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support Worker to join a well-established company providing specialist residential care for children and young people with complex needs.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day care and support while helping children develop independence, confidence and positive outcomes.

This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £26,000 plus £60 per sleep-in and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

? Providing person-centred care while maintaining children's safety, dignity and wellbeing.
? Supporting personal care, including hygiene, dressing and feeding where required.
? Helping children take part in activities, play, cooking and community-based experiences.
? Supporting educational, health and developmental needs.
? Encouraging independence and positive behaviours.
? Following individual care plans and risk assessments.
? Supporting behaviour management and maintaining appropriate records.
? Completing health and safety checks and general household duties.
? Assisting with budgeting and other practical aspects of daily living.
? Working in accordance with relevant childrens home regulations, care standards and inspection requirements.


The candidates from the following background will be considered:

? Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Childcare Worker, Children's Support Worker, Care worker, Keyworker, Care Assistant or in a similar role.


What we are looking for

? Prior experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities
? NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People qualification
? A genuine commitment to supporting and nurturing children and young people
? A full UK manual driving licence
