Senior Residential Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established company providing specialist residential care for children and young people with complex needs.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be providing direct care and taking a senior role in the day-to-day running of the home, while supporting the development of the wider care team.

This full-time permanent role offers a salary of £30,000 plus £60 per sleep-in and benefits.

We are also seeking a Residential Support Worker with salary of £26,000 plus £60 per sleep-in.

You will be responsible for

? Providing day-to-day care and support to children with learning disabilities, maintaining their safety, dignity and wellbeing
? Taking a lead role in the daily operation of the home and supporting management decisions
? Planning and engaging children in activities, play, cooking and community-based activities
? Supervising and supporting members of the care team
? Assisting with shift planning and team development
? Supporting children with their educational and health needs
? Completing household, health and safety and general maintenance tasks
? Maintaining individual risk assessments and ensuring they are followed
? Acting as a key worker for allocated children


The candidates from the following background will be considered:

? Senior Residential Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Senior Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Care Practitioner, Residential Childcare Worker, Children's Support Worker, Care worker, Keyworker, Care Assistant or in a similar role.


What we are looking for

? Prior experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities


? NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People qualification
? A genuine commitment to supporting and nurturing children and young people
? A full UK manual driving licence
