Senior Residential Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a SeniorResidential Support Worker to join a childrens residential care provider, offering safe, nurturing and supportive homes for young people.

With approx.

2 years experience in residential childcare, you will bring the knowledge and confidence needed to take on a senior role within a childrens residential setting.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will lead shifts, mentor colleagues and oversee the delivery of safe, nurturing care that supports young peoples needs and development.

This full-time role based in Oxfordshire offers salary of£34,840 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

? Guiding, mentoring and supporting colleagues in their roles.
? Ensuring staff follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
? Providing trauma-informed care and supporting young peoples daily needs and independence.
? Contributing to key-work sessions, care planning and progress reviews.
? Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents, debriefs and appropriate escalations.
? Maintaining accurate records, completing handovers and overseeing household and health and safety duties.
? Perform other duties as required.


What we are looking for:

Essential:

? Approx 2 years experience working in residential childcare.
? Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
? Good understanding of safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
? Ability to lead, motivate and guide colleagues while maintaining accountability for their practice.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills.
? Enhanced DBS check


Desirable:

? Previous experience supervising shifts or leading a team.
? Understanding of the Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
? Experience of trauma-informed care and involvement in care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support plans.
? Full UK driving licence.
